Senior wellness exams
Advances in veterinary medicine are allowing our pets to live longer and with better quality of life than ever before. With this increase in lifespan comes an increased need to manage our senior pets that have ongoing conditions that include mobility changes; osteoarthritis; kidney disease, heart disease, liver disease; cancer; thyroid imbalance, and many others. The health care needs of our pets change as they age and it is important for pet owners to work closely with their veterinarian to devise a health plan that is best for their senior pet.
Scheduling regular veterinary examinations is one of the most important steps pet owners can take to keep their pets in tip-top shape. We will conduct a complete examination of all of your pet’s body systems. Education and laboratory testing are also key components of the senior exam. Some senior pets may require regular visits for assessment and/or treatment of their conditions(s).
